Obituary
Isaac Rey Acosta was born on June 14, 2001, in Mesquite, Texas. Isaac was a loving husband, a devoted father, a cherished son, brother, grandson, and friend. His life, though far too short, was filled with love, faith, laughter, and the deep joy he found in his family.
Isaac graduated from Mesquite High School in 2020 and began his career as a Land Surveyor. He was known for his dedication and strong work ethic, always doing his best and working hard for the people he loved. More than anything, Isaac was a family man whose greatest pride and happiness came from caring for his loved ones.
He is lovingly remembered by his devoted spouse, Erika Gutierrez, and his beautiful children, Nicholas, Elianna, and Emilio Acosta, who were the greatest blessings in his life. Isaac adored his children and treasured every moment spent with them.
Isaac also leaves behind his loving parents, Oscar Omar and Lizbeth Gurrusquieta; his sisters, April, Maya, Mia, and Maite; his beloved grandparents, Candelaria and Jose Alba; his uncles, Jose Alba and Jonathan Alba; and his cousins, Julissa Alba, Jay Alba, and Ethan Alba. He shared a special bond with each of them, and the love they shared will remain in their hearts forever.
Those who knew Isaac will remember his kind heart, gentle spirit, and the warmth he brought into the lives of others. He had a deep love for music and enjoyed playing the guitar, listening to his favorite songs, watching movies, and playing video games. Some of his most treasured moments were the simple ones—spending time with his family, laughing together, and making memories that will never fade.
Isaac lived his life with faith in God and held strong Catholic beliefs that guided him through life. His faith was a source of comfort and strength, reminding those who loved him that his spirit lives on in God’s eternal care.
Though his time on earth was brief, Isaac’s love, kindness, and the beautiful memories he created will live on through his family and everyone whose life he touched. His legacy is one of love, devotion, and the reminder to cherish every moment with the people who matter most.
Isaac Rey Acosta will be forever loved, deeply missed, and never forgotten. His memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved him and in the lives of his children, who carry forward his love and light.
