Tunney (T.R.) Loyd was born on November 14, 1947 in San Antonio, Texas to Tunney Roland Loyd and Dorothy Jean Loyd. Mr. Loyd passed away at the age of 70 on February 27, 2018. T.R. was a very beloved man who will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Tunney first met his wife Norma in the 9th grade and married his high school sweetheart on October 16, 1966 in Durant, Oklahoma a few months after they had graduated from Dallas Kimball High School. They enjoyed 51 wonderful years together. Mr. Loyd was preceded in death by his parents, granddaughter Schellby Loge and son-in-law Jerry Strickland. He is survived by wife Norma Schell Loyd, daughters Kellie Loyd and Debra Strickland, sons Jacob Loyd and his wife Crystal, Joel Loyd and his wife Chasity, grandchildren Andrew, Joel, Dylan, MaKenzie, Brittany, Lauren, Jeremy, Tristan, Jacy, Emma, Austin and Collin, great-grandchildren Brylen, Ryder, Wyatt, Carter, Kendall, Amelia and one in the oven, brother Gary Loyd and his wife Jeannie, numerous other family and his precious four legged babies Cateaux and Cousteaux. T. R. retired May 2017 from Burch Management. Mr. Loyd was a man of many skills and talents too numerous to mention, however, he would tell you his best skill was being very fluent in sarcasm in a very loving way. He and Norma attended Lakepointe Church in Mesquite. Mr. Loyd was a Master Certified Diver, gun enthusiast who made his own ammunition, loved Formula One racing, Moto GP Racing Superbikes and enjoyed the land out in Emory where he would four wheel, hunt and breathe in the fresh air in the company of his family and dogs.
