Mawmaw, I have never seen a family love so hard..... You raised a perfect daughter, mother, and wife. I regret the fact that I never got to know you as well as I should have being that I've been your son-in-law this long. These last three weeks I stayed by your side with your daughter, we got to know each other even know no words were spoken. I will cherish every second of it, and I'll never forget the love that was silently shared between us. I stand behind the last words I spoke to you.... I will walk through fire and crawl through broken glass to take care of your daughter and grandsons, I give you my word. Mawmaw, I will strive to love as hard as you do, and to make people smile like you do. It is an honor to be your son-in-law. Thank you for allowing me to marry Wendy and the boys, while your dancing with Pawpaw, whisper in his ear that my goal is to be father and husband he was, and if I get out of line or I start in the wrong direction, he needs to nudge me back in the right direction and I'll know it's you and him showing me how to love!! I love you Mawmaw!!

Words cannot describe the emptiness I have in my heart. Knowing that I still had my momma after the passing of my wonderful daddy kept me going, but now they are both gone and at this moment I feel so alone and so scared. My heart is shattered into so many pieces that it feels like it will take forever to pick up all the pieces and glue my heart back together. My momma was/is a wonderful lady and she will be missed greatly. Many people had the pleasure of calling her a friend, sister, acquaintance, but I had the honor and the great pleasure of calling her mom. You are a diamond in the sky momma. Knowing that you are in no more pain and you are with the love of your life will somehow force me to carry on. Until I see you again momma...sweet dreams and I love you always!
