Kenneth Winfrey, Sr. of Balch Springs, Texas went to be with his Lord and Savior after a long illness on May 6, 2019. He passed away at Dallas Community Center Hospice Unit at the age of 67. He is survived by his loving wife of 35 years, Marianne Kesler Winfrey; children, Michelle Espinoza and spouse, Gabriel, Angelique Rodriguez; sons, Kenneth Winfrey Jr., Scott Cather and spouse, Melissa, Kristopher Winfrey and spouse, Nikki, and adopted son, Rusty Tantillo; grandchildren, Tabatha, Amanda, Reymundo, Brianna, Cayden, Cole, Toryn, Luke, and one great grandchild, Jaxon. He also leaves behind 3 brothers and 3 sisters.
Kenneth was born in Richmond, Texas on February 4, 1952 to William and Emma (Duff) Winfrey. He was a graduate of Hamshire Fannett High School. Kenneth served four years in the US Army. He has been a member of Calvary First Baptist Church since 2004. He often sang solos, and will always be remembered for singing “Beulah Land.”
