Juanita F. Weathersby, affectionately known as "Nita", triumphantly entered the gates of Heaven on August 17, 2019 in Dallas, Texas. She was born June 1, 1936 in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma, to Clarence Newton and Susie Mae (Bell) Cooper. She was 83 years of age.
Nita will be remembered as the strong Christian that she was, her faith in the God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Ghost, and her love for everybody. She loved to fish.
She was preceded in death by Clarence Cooper, Susie Cooper, Windell Cooper, Frank Cooper, Wanda Cooper, Velma Vanway, Benny Cooper, Danny Cooper and Clay Allen Craig.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory her devoted husband, James Weathersby; son, Roger D. Craig; daughter, Renee Frosch; sister, Shirley Bard; grandchildren, Krystal Nichole, Kayla Renee, Nita Lynn, Christian, Brittany Skyler, Hailey, Isabelle Craig, and Paxton Dale; and lots of great-grandchildren.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2: 00 P.M., Saturday, August 24, 2019 in the Chapel at Laurel Oaks Funeral Home located at 12649 Lake June Rd., Mesquite, Texas 75180. Her husband, Rev. James Weathersby will officiate. Following the service, there will be a short interment to Laurel Oaks Memorial Park where she will be laid to rest in the Garden of Love.
