Services for Mr. James Ernest "Ernie" Jordan are scheduled for Monday, November 4, 2019 at Laurel Oaks Funeral Home. The family will begin receiving friends at 1:00 p.m. for a time of visitation and a viewing. The funeral service will begin at 2:00 p.m. Rev. Ted Kiser will officiate. Following the service, there will be a short procession to Laurel Oaks Memorial Park for a brief committal service in the Garden of Hope.
Ernie passed away, unexpectedly, October 29, 2019. He was born October 20, 1958 in Dallas, Texas to Ernest and Wanda (Taylor) Jordan. He was 61 years of age.
Ernie worked in the Energy and Construction industries for the majority of his life as a Heavy Equipment Mechanic and Crane Operator. He received the KBR LOGCAP III Medal for his bravery while working overseas for Halliburton from 2004-2008. He enjoyed drag racing, restoring race cars, fishing, and spending time with his family. He leaves behind to cherish his memory two beautiful daughters, Catherine Jordan-Gordon and husband William of Baytown, Texas, and Marikate Jordan-Weyand and husband Collin of Baytown, Texas; three adoring grandchildren, Bonnie (age 10), Owen (age 5), and Everett (age 1); loving parents, Ernest and Wanda Jordan of Dallas, Texas; one devoted brother, Alfred Jordan of Alba, Texas; former wife and mother of his children, Mary Jordan; and many extended family, friends, and co-workers.
Arrangements are under the care of Laurel Oaks Funeral Home located at 12649 Lake June Road, Mesquite, Texas 75180.
