Dolores “Lola” Ramos was born September 4, 1935 in Dallas, Texas to Pedro & Estefana Rubio. Dolores passed away on October 23, 2018. She is preceded in death by both her parents and her siblings: Josie Garza, Joe Rubio, Lupe Guerrero, Mary Moreno, Carmen Martinez, Licha Rubio and Gilbert Rubio. Dolores is survived by her spouse, Louis Ramos; children, Maria (BooBoo) Lightford, Louis Ramos, Phillip Ramos, JoAnn McGahey; grandchildren, John Henry Miramontes, Dori Miramontes, Felipe Miramontes, Stetson McGahey, CheyAnn McGahey, Austin McGahey; great grandchildren, Frankie Ibarra, Arianna Miramontes, Azalia Miramontes, Anita Miramontes, JD Miramontes, Matthew Miramontes; sisters, Ramona Alverez, Delia Rubio Varquez; and numerous nieces and nephews. Dolores is remembered by her love for doing crossword puzzles, doing adult coloring books, and watching her novelas. She worked part-time at the Devil’s Bowl Speedway in Mesquite. She was known as the Burrito Lady. She made the best burritos around.
