Rita Gail Reavis

January 5, 1957 ~ January 24, 2019 (age 62)

Rita Gail Reavis, affectionately known as "Nanny", was born January 5th 1957 in Dallas,Texas to Otis and Margaret Beckham. She went to be with the Lord suddenly but peacefully in her sleep on Thursday January 24th 2019 at her home in Gun Barrel City, Texas.

Preceded in death by her mother Margaret Beckham, father Otis Beckham, oldest son Gary Don Reavis Jr., Sisters Judy Smock and Wanda Beckham, Brother-in-laws Don Sanders and Billy Worthington and many other loving family and friends. 

She is survived by a loving husband Gary Don Reavis, 3 children Ronnie Lee Reavis & wife Latrisha Joann Reavis, Randall Wayne Reavis, and Stephanie Gail Reavis, 5 grandchildren Destiny Nicole Reavis & husband William Robert Donahoo 2nd, Morgan Langley Hill, Mason Douglas Hill, Makayla Hope Reavis, Kaylee Kole Williams and unborn great grandson Graysen Don James Donahoo . Also Sisters Debra Brundige, Linda Sanders, Frances Worthington and Brothers Terry and Jerry Beckham as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends whom she loved dearly....

She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother and will be remembered by her sweet and kind soul. She never met a stranger she didn't speak to or welcome into her home. Just about anyone who knew her called her "Nanny" or "Mom". She was the most influential person in so many lives and the love and compassion displayed by her was a testament to her sweet personality, there's no doubt Heaven gained another perfect angel. One of her greatest accomplishments was her family, her Husband of 46 years, 4 kids, and 5 grandchildren whom she loved so much. She loved traveling to Winstar or Bossier City, just to get away and enjoy a casual margarita while reciting her favorite saying,"Right,Right...." Now she's to the right of the Lord singing hymns...

Services will be held Friday, February 1st 2019 at Laurel Oaks Chapel with the viewing beginning at Noon. Chapel service will began at 2:00 PM with Rev. Roger Hill officiating. Following the chapel service, there will be a brief committal service at Laurel Oaks Memorial Park in Garden of Love. Wesley Hargrove, Stephanie Reavis, Chance Hargrove, Randall Reavis, Billy Donahoo, Timothy Henry will serve as pallbearers.
