Julia Granado, 89, of Quinlan, Texas passed into eternal rest on August 19, 2018. Ms. Granado was born on April 12, 1929 in Corbet, Texas to Macedonio Granado and Maria De La Luz Acosta Granado. She lived a full life that included working in the bean fields of Michigan at an early age. Julia loved watching Gun Smoke on television, sitting and relaxing on the front porch as the cars zoomed bye but most important to her was her love of God and attending church. She was preceded in death by her parents, 2 brothers, 2 sisters, a son and a daughter. Ms. Granado is survived by son Raymond C. Jerry and wife Evelyn, daughter Mary Lou Davalos, son Phillip Jesse Rodriguez, son David Jerry and daughter Lena Montoya, 13 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren, sister Mary I. Davalos and brother Ralph Granado. A visitation will be held from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, August 22nd in the chapel of Laurel Oaks Funeral Home, 12649 Lake June Rd., Mesquite, Texas 75180, with cremation to follow.
