Jimmy W. Walthall went to be with the Lord early Monday morning, September 2, 2019 in Plano, Texas. He was born April 26, 1938 in Dallas, Texas to Thomas and Ola Walthall and was a resident of Mesquite. He was 81 years of age.
Jimmy was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Ola Walthall.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory until we meet again his devoted wife of 62 years, Thelma Walthall; their daughter, Betty Belknap and husband Mark; grandson, Sean Belknap and his wife Hillary; great-grandson, Bear Alan; brothers, Thomas Walthall and Billy Walthall; sister-in-law, Lois Roady; cousin, Bill Pemberton and wife Zada; and a number of extended family, friends, and brothers and sisters in the Lord.
There will be a graveside service for Jimmy at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, September 5, 2019 at Laurel Oaks Memorial Park in the Garden of Whispering Oaks. Whispering Oaks is right across the main cemetery drive from the funeral home. Laurel Oaks Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements.
In lieu of flowers, the Walthall family asks that memorial contributions be made to Our Daily Bread.
At 6:00 a.m. the morning of Jimmy’s death, Bill Pemberton thought he heard Jimmy say “It is more glorious and beautiful than you can imagine.”
