Jill Weems Dean loved others unselfishly, and always put the need of others ahead of her own.
Jill, born January 28, 1945, was a proud graduate of Auburn University, from which she received her teaching degree in 1967. Jill was a natural, perpetual teacher, spending over twenty years teaching, primarily ESL at McWhorter Elementary in Mesquite, Texas, but imparting wisdom throughout her life.
Jill was full of love- she loved the Lord, she loved Eddie, her doting husband of over fifty years, she loved her bible study, and she loved her family, especially her beautiful grandchildren. Jill was a leader, gracefully setting an example impossible to follow. She was a friend to all, always ready with a smile, a hug and a laugh. Full of energy, she was loyal and dependable, thoughtful and caring. She was considerate and gentle, but also tougher than she looked. In her world there were thanks, not complaints, praises, not gossip, hope, not doubts.
Jill was preceded in death by her parents and twin sister Jackie, who greeted her with open arms after she peacefully passed on May 24, 2019. She will be missed tremendously by all- her sons, Clint and Craig; her daughters in law, Denice and Valerie; her nieces Kristi and Cindy, who were like daughters to her; and their spouses Eric and Steve. She was adored by her grandchildren- Brady, Henry, Simon, Taylor, Matthew, Evan, Nathan, Jack and Finn. We will miss her sweet smile, her laugh and her love, but all who knew her are thankful for the time spent with her and are better people because of her. May she rest in eternal peace.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to Alzheimer's association or McWhorter Elementary where she taught.
