There will be a Celebration of Life for Connie Lou Farley at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, January 4, 2020 at Laurel Oaks Funeral Home located at 12649 Lake June Rd., Mesquite, Texas 75180. Laurel Oaks Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements.
Connie was born on May 24, 1953 and baptized on May 5, 1963 at the First Baptist Church in Mesquite, Texas. Connie went to be with our Lord on December 27, 2019.
Connie grew up in Mesquite and was a graduate of Mesquite High School in 1970. She started working at the age of sixteen for Shamrock Florist, then Flowers by Cheryl. After high school, she continued her education and became a cosmetologist with certification from Pivot Point Hair Design in 1971. She loved her career but not so much the long hours. Some of her pastime favorites included riding horses, hanging out with family and friends, and driving her new corvettes.
Connie leaves behind her brother, Jerry Farley and wife Annette; sister, Sarah Kilpatrick and Stan Bellis; and nieces and nephews, Danny & Lecia Robinson, Jason Kilpatrick, Jake Kilpatrick, Amber Farley, and Candice Bellis and husband Eric Kildebeck. She was a Great Aunt to many nieces and nephews and loved them all dearly. She also leaves behind her two babies, Luke and Coco. They will truly miss their momma.
Connie was a very compassionate person and never met a stranger. She could talk to anyone. Connie was a go-getter, life of the party kind of woman. She was strong when she needed to be and gentle as well. Connie loved life; she especially loved being with family and friends. She liked to be right and would do her best to convince you of that fact. In our family she was fondly called “Sarge” because she would take charge of situations and get ‘er done!
Connie is preceded in death by her parents, Jack and Louise Farley of Mesquite; and her nephew, Deputy Constable Guy Mundy Farley of Heartland.
Connie, we love you and we will all miss you! Until we meet again….
