Bennie Heard Shaw began his life on December 8th, 1942 to the parentage of the late David Shaw and Macie McKinzie Shaw in Montalba, Texas. He was one of twelve children born into this union, and on July 4th, 2019 he transitioned with family present by his side.
Bennie received his formal education from Plano High School. He was later employed at Titches Department Store as a lady shoe Salesman;, the Apparel Warehouse, and finally he worked for the Department of Immigration until his retirement in December 2004. Bennie was united in matrimony to his first wife and from that union two children were born (Janice Hunter (Darryl), and Angie Smith. Later, in 1965 he then met and wed his second wife Ms. Jessie L. Cole and raised three children from this union (Sandra Ratliff (Eugene), Reginald, and Juanita Shaw). His passion for recreation was golfing, fishing and hunting.
He at an early age was a member of Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev L. H. Harper.
He is preceded in death by both parents, two brothers, (Sherman David Shaw, W.T. Shaw, and one sister Macie Giles).
Bennie leaves to cherish his memories, his loving and caring wife of over 50yrs Mrs. Jessie L. Shaw, four daughters: Janice Hunter (Darryl), Angie Smith, Sandra Ratliff (Eugene), Juanita Shaw; and one son Reginald; eight sisters: Doris Frazier, Francis Prince, Margie Greene (Robert), Sarah Johnson (Joseph), Bonnie Brown (Samuel), Alice Estes, Rachel Boss (Frank), and Brenda “Kay” Butler. He leaves also a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and nephews, nieces, cousins, and other relatives and friends.
