Amy Joyce McClure, age 79, of Mesquite, Texas passed away on July 2, 2018. She was born October 9, 1938 on a farm near Celina, Texas, the 9th of nine children to Sam and Martha Miller. Amy graduated from Alla High School in 1957. In 1962 she married Billy McClure and they settled in Mesquite to live and raise their family. Amy was a long time employee of the YWCA and faithful servant at Town East Baptist Church, but her true legacy is the pattern of faith in Jesus Christ that she instilled in her children and grandchildren. And as such we can rejoice in the knowledge that she has found comfort and peace in the arms of her Lord and Savior. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother known for her humbleness, kindness, and generosity to all she met. Her children and grandchildren meant the world to her. Amy is survived by her husband of 56 years, Billy McClure; daughter Terri Flowers and husband, Robert; daughter Karen Mark and husband, Bruce; grandchildren Calvin and wife Megan, Megan, and Kaylin; daughter Angela Schabel and husband, Tom; grandchildren Kristen and Alyssa; siblings Gene Miller, Mary Hickman, and Barbara Haas.
