Willis Odell Kniffin was born to Roy Clinton and Edna (Henderson) Kniffin on November 5, 1922 in Rosedale, Oklahoma. He passed away peacefully on January 23, 2018 at the age of 95.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Elizabeth Kelpen Kniffin; son, Ronnie Lee Kniffin; parents, Roy & Edna Kniffin; sister, Violet Smith; brothers, Roy Fague Kniffin, Wallace Kniffin and Harold Kniffin.
Willis is survived by his grandsons, James Curtis and David Kniffin; great grandchildren, Alexis Curtis and Ryan Curtis; nephews, Gary Kniffin, Kevin Kniffin and Mark Smith; nieces, Leta Jester, Jill Stanton and Jessie Anderson. He also leaves behind many caring friends and neighbors.
He was a long-time resident of Mesquite, Texas. Willis was employed as a plumber for Frymire Home Services for many years. His mind was extremely sharp up to the very end. Willis was a proud veteran. He served his country in US Maritime Service, the US Navy and US Army during World War II and Korea.

Graveside service will be on Monday, February 12, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Laurel Oaks Memorial Park.
