Lois J. Warner, 91, of Kaufman, Texas passed away into the arms of her eternal Lord and Savior on October 7, 2017. She was born July 20, 1926 in Winnsboro, Texas to Owen Young Roten and Lois Lorene (Cain) Roten. Lois married the love her life Jack H. Warner on June 5, 1946 in Quitman and enjoyed a beautiful 44 year marriage before his passing in 1990. Mrs. Warner had been a member of Ridgeview Baptist Church. She loved to make arts and crafts and took something ordinary and turned it into something extraordinary. Lois also loved tending her plants and definitely could be labeled has having a Green Thumb. She worked many jobs in her lifetime such as a pickle factory in Ohio where Jack was born. Lois also worked in sales, collections and accounting for businesses such as Sears, Montgomery Ward, Mason & Associates and Mesquite I.S.D. Mrs. Warner retired from Southland Corporation in 1996. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Jack, brothers Lester and George and sister June. Mrs. Warner is survived by her son Stephen Warner, granddaughter Kristy Warner, grandson David Warner, great-granddaughters Emma Clevinger and Beverleigh McIlveen, sister Lorene Weems and numerous nieces, nephews and other family. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, October 11th at Laurel Oaks Funeral Home. Funeral services to celebrate her life will be 2:00 p.m., Thursday, October 12th at Laurel Oaks Funeral Home Chapel with interment to follow in Laurel Oaks Memorial Park, where she will be laid to rest next to Jack. Pastor Barry Boatwright to officiate services.
