Jimmy 'Dub' William Davidson, 81, passed from this earthly life into his heavenly eternity January 10, 2018, in Dallas Texas. Jimmy was born May 3, 1936 to Lewis & Vena  (McCrory) Davidson. Jimmy was the baby of the family and a Mommas Boy. He enjoyed sharing his birthday with his older brother. Jimmy grew up in the Dallas area and enjoyed the last few years rooming with his big brother. Jimmy served his country proudly in not only the Navy, but the Army as well. One of his favorite locations of duty was Hawaii. Jimmy, had a long successful career of driving a Big Rig.  He excelled in all he did, this was apparent by his numerous awards. A few of his achievements include Driver of the Year, Driver of the Month and Safe Driving. He achieved the pinical for any driver by receiving Independent Contractor the Year in 1998, after several years of nominations. Along with this award was a new rig, built to his specifications. All of his associates held him in high regards. Jimmy was a member of VFW, Wednesday's Child program, St Jude Children's research, AE Hope Lodge & Scottish Rite Hospital. Jimmy had a Special place in his heart for children, be it blood or a total stranger. He was always willing to help in any way at anytime to make a difference in a life. This is apparent  by the charities he supported. Jimmy was devoted to his Family and loved them beyond measure. He and his brother would visit family faithfully and reminisce with laughter and tears. Jimmy is preceded by his Loving parents, Big Sister Vena Helen (Davidson) Rogers and first wife Patsy (Pickens) Davidson. Survivors include his Beloved Big Sister Betty Smith, Big Brother Lewis Jr. Davidson, niece Dee Anna (Rogers) Monroe; Daughters Vickie Hartzell and Debra Smith; Sons Darrell Martin, Dean  Ferguson and Danny Ferguson; 10 grandchildren, 15 great- grandchildren. Numerous nieces and nephewsthat adored and cherished him deeply. The family will greet friends at Laurel Oaks at 1pm Wednesday, January 17th with the funeral service  will immediately follow at 2pm in Laurel Oaks Chapel.  Burial will follow the service next to his family at Patrick Pruitt Cemetery in Dallas County.
