James Edward AnthamattenMarch 22, 1943 ~ June 22, 2017 (age 74)
James Edward Anthamatten Sr. was born on March 22, 1943, to Charles Edward Anthamatten and Norma Lee Hill in Tulsa, OK, and entered Heaven on June 22, 2017, in Mesquite, TX at the age of 74. James was the eldest of eleven siblings, which were mostly separated during childhood. All in God’s plan, he was never separated from his brother, Tommy, that he affectionately referred to as his “Bud”. After many years of life’s trials and tribulations, it would be his brother that would guide him to the Lord in 1974. That was the turning point in his life that eventually gave him the desire to seek recovery, and to be the guiding force in the recovery of countless lives, known to many as James “A.”, serving as Director at Seidler House for decades.
Gone home before him; his eldest son, James Edward Anthamatten, Jr. (Bo); his beloved sister-in-law, Peggy Anthamatten, niece, Regina Anthamatten, nephew, Shawn Anthamatten. James was married to his loving wife, Becky, for many years. He leaves this earth loved by his children; son, Michael Anthamatten and Clayton Campbell; and daughters, Jamie and Derek Smith; Angela and Patrick Plumlee; Amber and Dixie Pebworth, all of Oklahoma. Also, daughters, Kenderly and Jesse Woods; Jennifer Kelley and Mike Strange; Sarah and Roman Martinez, all residing in Texas. His brother Tommy Anthamatten Sr., and wife Cyndi. Sister, Etta Joyce Norris. His loving grandchildren, Lyndsey, Brittnee, Cierra, Madison, Bailee, Makenna, Braden, Morgan, Amberlyn, Josie, Brylee, Trinity, Landon, Mason, Major, Maxilyn, and Trevor, and one great-grandchild, Laney. His numerous nieces and nephews that lovingly referred to him as “Uncle Jimmy”, and many others that he loved as his own by choice. There will never be another James “A” and the world is a better place because he was here.
