Douglas Sutterfield was born to Virgil Lee Sutterfield and Moneda (Craft) Sutterfield in Connerville, Oklahoma on September 24, 1929 and passed into eternity on June 27, 2017. Mr. Sutterfield proudly served his country during the Korean War as a member of the Corp of Engineers in Alaska. Douglas retired as a heavy equipment operator, building many of the beautiful damns that spread out over northern California. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Ruby Nell Johnson and brother-in-law Barney Johnson. Douglas is survived by his daughter Denise Bradley, daughter Darnell Koering and son Travis Sutterfield, brother Don M. Sutterfield and wife Sally, sister Jo Ann Staton, and brother Dois Sutterfield and wife Edith, 5 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Friday, July 7th at Long Creek Cemetery in Sunnyvale, Texas with Reverend George Weldon, officiating.
