Welcome to the memorial page for

Delia (Buenrostro) Perez

August 28, 1955 ~ August 13, 2017 (age 61)

The Piano Brothers

Delia B. Perez, 61, was called to our Eternal Home August 13, 2017. After a courageous battle against pancreatic cancer, with her family by her side, she peacefully went with Our Lord. Del was born August 28, 1955 to Carlos I & Antonia Buenrostro in Brownsville, Texas. Del met the love of her life, Ruben Perez and uprooted life as she knew to make Dallas, Texas home for a better future for her growing family. She dedicated herself to being a supportive wife and greatest mother in the world. Del found a ”work family” with Bethel Early Learning Center as a loyal caretaker of little ones for 23 years.

Known lovingly as Ms. Del, Momma, & Nana to her grandbabies, she will be greatly missed. In her passing, she has left behind some of the most wonderful memories and meaningful experiences, of celebrating holidays, birthdays and all other special occasions. Del made every day feel warm and full of love. She spread her gift of passing on her wisdom not only to her family and friends, but to her children at Bethel E.L.C. as well. She never let anyone go hungry or “hangry”. She could always be found trying to make sure everyone was cared for and had enough. Ms. Del kept her home as clean as her spirit and her love as pure as her heart. She was tireless in seeking to spread love & kindness to everyone who came across her path. She bled blue and silver for her beloved Dallas Cowboys. Del was a woman of deep faith in Jesus Christ and devoted to her Catholic Faith.

Del is preceded in death by her parents, Carlos & Antonia Buenrostro and nephew, Cesar “Chacho” Martinez. She leaves behind a legacy to cherish her memories including her beloved husband, Ruben Perez; daughters: Carla Kay Flagle & husband, Mike and Cindy May Perez; grand-daughters: Emma Marie Perez and Zoey Rae Perez; brothers: Carlos Buenrostro, II & wife, Beatrice and Juan Buenrostro & wife, Elena; sisters: Alice Leal, Cecilia Martinez & husband, Cesar, Antonia Betancourt & husband, Louis and Rosie Buenrostro; sisters-in-law: Sylvia Ellis, Linda Perez-Heyman & husband, Greg, Mary Carmen Perez, and Lisa Perez Bermua; brothers-in-law: Robert Perez & wife, Sandra and Trey Perez;

 step-son, Ruben Perez, Jr.; step-daughter, Delena Perez; step-grandchildren: Richard Castillo, Jr., Daniel Castillo and Adrian Castillo; many nieces and nephews and extended family members, as well as a host of friends. A special thanks to Matrice, Emma, & Mary for the care that was given to our precious mother in her last couple of weeks with us.
