Carolyn (Cave) CaveMarch 7, 1948 ~ May 17, 2017 (age 69)
Carolyn Cave was born to Catherine and Temple Cave on March 7, 1948 in Florence Nightingale Hospital in Dallas, Texas. She was raised with her younger brother, Dennis, in Pleasant Grove. She graduated from H. Grady Spruce High School in 1967 and was a long-time member of Calvary First Baptist Church. She was an animal lover. She especially liked Chihuahua dogs and had two as close companions over the course of her life. Most of her working life was spent in the employment of Sears at its Garland center until her retirement after 17 years due to poor health. Despite health problems for most of her life, she always stayed busy. She moved to Juliette Fowler Christian Apartments in 1994, where she lived until her passing. At Juliette Fowler, she volunteered for many types of activities that helped the staff and residents at the facility. She loved helping people and worked very hard. She was loved by everyone she met and worked with. In 2009, she received the Community Services Award presented by the Texas Association of Homes and Services for the Aging. She was nominated for the award by the Juliette Fowler staff for her hard work and her desire to help people. She was very pleased when her mother moved to Juliette Fowler in 2007 so they could be together. She assisted her mother in all manner of activities, and they were inseparable. She was an angel and a family treasure and will be missed by her mother, brother, and nephew, Danny, extended family, friends, and coworkers.
